Rajkumar Hirani is credited in bringing one of the most endearing characters of Hindi films to audiences- the golden-hearted don Munnabhai. A graduate from editing from the prestigious Film and Television Institute of Pune, Rajkumar began his career in Mumbai as an editor and gradually established himself as a director and producer of advertising films. He then associated himself with Vidhu Vinod Chopra productions, editing several of their films. Then with the hugely successful Munnabhai series - Munnabhai M.B.B.S. and Lage Raho Munnabhai, he brought forth his special style of comedy in big screen as the writer and director of the films. Now all eyes are trained on his forthcoming Three Idiots and Munnabhai Chale Amreeca.

Considered as one of the legends in the field of direction in Hindi films, Hrishikesh Mukherjee and his fikms are shining examples of how entertainment can be packaged to make strong social messages.
