In his 30's a man goes from being trendy to stylish. Here is Farhan Akhtar who remains trendy even after hitting 30 and emerging as a fashion icon. This stylish, tech-savvy, generation next director-producer-actor loves casual and semi-casual look. He says, "It's comfortable and easy to maintain."

He says that in college he used to wear hideous belts, big balloon bottoms and sported bad hairstyles. But as he matured, his style changed too. Farhan believes that his sense of humour and his style is off-beat. No wonder that the ace director could make Aamir's goti in Dil Chahta Hai a must have look for every man and his Rock On movie hairstyle the trendiest look for teenagers.

Farhan spends most of his time in FCUK jeans, but does not shy away from borrowing his father's elegant kurtas when the occasion demands. He loves to wear his military-inspired jacket, which he picked up from Ladakh while shooting for Lakshya.

He likes vintage inspired brown jacket from Lucky Brown, French Connection shirts, the Mara tees, his military-inspired Ladakh jacket and British Designer Paul Smith's hooded jacket.

According to him, his style statement has to be as comfortable as possible. He has a slight resistance for wearing formal shirts, until the event demands it. He is a T-shirt man, but does not like the body hugging ones. He buys T-shirts are from Mara, Paul Smith and even from roadside shops. He has very laidback style. He says: "I don't take too much trouble to dress up. May be I will throw a jacket over a nice shirt if I have to go somewhere very formal."

Farhan's favourite colours are grey, black and blue. Farhan always experiments with his hair, courtesy his wife Adhuna. At present he sports a short-gelled hair look, which is trendy in every inch.
