John Abraham

He created dhoom as he came to Bollywood and women couldn't help losing their heart for him... He is the macho man and hunk of Bollywood and no one has dethroned him until now.

"I live in linen and cotton. Colour-wise, I like earthy tones and khaki. I am a light dresser and am most comfortable in pyjamas and a kurta-style shirt." - John Abraham on his style quotient.

My favourite outfit: A pair of tracks and a vest.

My outfit for the day: When I go for my shoots I prefer to wear tracks and vest, as I am most comfortable in them. It is also easy to get out of when you want to change.

My outfit for evening wear: For evenings, I like earthy colours. I would match beige trousers and a white shirt or a combination of beige trousers and a sky blue colour shirt or khaki trousers with a white shirt.

For parties I like to wear: My all time favourite black!. Either a black sherwani or a black Zara suit.

Night wear: I like to sleep in boxers.

My favourite colours: I like the earthy variety. Brown, beige, military green. And sky blue is a perennial favourite.

My favourite fabrics: Cotton and Linen.

My favourite accessories: Earlier it was the fish bone which I would wear around my neck. Now, I avoid accessories. If I could have my way I would avoid carrying my mobile too!

The outfit that suits me best: Something that I am comfortable in, irrespective of whether it is formal or casual.

My wardrobe is usually: incomplete.

I prefer: Slip ons. I buy my shoes from New York or London.

An admission: I am not a brand baby. I hardly go shopping. Sometimes a t-shirt that catches my eye is worth only Rs 100.

My favourite Indian outfit: A sherwani. But one with minimum fuss, no embroidery et al.

Suit etiquette: When I am wearing a suit, I don’t take it off till the evening is over. I don’t like holding the coat in my hand while I stand around in a shirt. I hang the suit in my car and wear it only after emerging from the car.

John avoids: Wearing leather as far as possible.

John's secret hate: Shopping! Most of my clothes have been gifted to me. I will die if I have to shop.

My hair texture: It's very thick and black. My hair has always been long but now I want it to keep it short.

My shampoo: It keeps changing depending on how oily my hair is.

My hair care routine: I never oil my hair, I just regularly wash, shampoo and condition my hair to keep it manageable.

My hair is styled by: Dilshad and Sapna.

Hair tip: I think you should not comb your hair too hard as you tend to pull them out from their roots. Brush your hair, gently. I don’t comb my hair at most times, not even for my shoots.

The best dressed man: Our late prime minister Rajiv Gandhi.

The best dressed woman: Bipasha Basu. She looks gorgeous in a white churidaar kurta.

My take on repeating clothes: I don’t mind repeating my clothes. My friends often rag me, "John you are always into black clothes, or in white pyjamas."

I would like my woman to be dressed in: A white salwar kameez because I feel it is the most beautiful, most sensuous, most lovely and most extravagant outfit. It is my all time favourite.

My favourite aftershave: I like to keep a stubble.

A tip for readers: Dress to suit yourself.

Last word: People like me because I am neither opulent nor flamboyant. I would never wear a vest to a formal occasion.
