indya: Good evening indyans and time for yet another exciting chat on indya.com. This time it's Milind Soman - the model turned actor turned Director. He is right here for you on indya. Remember the rules-
Chat ka super hit formula... Keep those questions posted!
Hi Milind! Welcome to the chat
guest116: Are you acting as the main lead in any movie again after
Rules...?
milind: There are a lot of characters in my next two films and I am one of the main characters. It's more like a ensemble cast.
guest123: What are your tips to aspiring modelling aspirants?
milind: Firstly, modelling is not a lifetime profession. Focus on having a well rounded personality. When people look at you, they should want to be like you, not because of your looks but because of your personality. Travel. Read and become a learned person.
guest140: Someone told me that you were rejected by
Graviera suiting because you looked too young to wear a suit, is it true? If yes, how did it make you feel then?
milind: Yes, it is true. I don't remember which suiting it was, but I was 23 back then and looked really young.
guest122: Who is your favourite designer?
milind: I like Indian clothes a lot. I like Raghavendra Rathore, Rana Pratap Singh and Rohit Bal's Sherwanis
guest61: This is Anandhi. Why did you choose modelling as your profession?
milind: Well it was more like modelling chose me. I dint even know, back then, that modelling can be a profession. But I was willing to explore new opportunities.
guest146: Which is your favourite heroine with whom you want to act?
milind: I have already worked with some of them, Rajeshwari Sachdev who is brilliant, Tabu who is stunning. But I would like to act with Mallika Sherawat.
guest131: You are considered India's first male supermodel, how do think the industry has improved today?
milind: I think the fashion models have made a huge impact. They are all international standard. But the clothes and photography has stagnated.
guest136: Being so successful in modelling, would you advise your children to take up modelling in any stage of their life?
milind: I would want my children to do whatever they enjoy, be it modelling, scuba diving or even being astronauts. The important thing is they should enjoy what they are doing and learn from it.
guest122: Why have you stopped acting in movies?
milind: I do very few films a year, I also do a lot of international films that takes up a lot of my time. I like to work with new directors, who really want to do different work.
guest130: Would you like to be reborn as a model-cum-actor, cricketer or a politician? Since all three professions rock in India.
milind: I would like to be reborn as somebody who can do everything.
indya: A model liked most...
Bana chat pe dost! With that note... Time to wind up. Thanks a lot Milind. Before we leave... Any messages for your fans?
milind: I don't know why you love me, but keep it up.
