Thodi Life Thoda Magic is the story of MK (Jackie Shroff) who gets roped in to be the face of a documentary on Mumbai that is to be aired on industrialist Roshan Merchant's (Arbaaz Khan) channel. Sid (Sahil Chaddha) is the producer while Ashima (Anita Raj) and Aditya (Parmeet Sethi) are his bosses. Roshan is having a closet romance with Naina Jairaj (Meera Vasudevan) who has now left his company to become a freelance writer and finds her self working with Sid on this documentary.
However, Roshan who likes MK's connect with the audience decides to convert it into a daily chat show on his news channel. But obviously in order to rake in the TRPs he decides to spice it up – even if that means staging problems on the show. Slowly and steadily MK's show gains immense popularity while Sid and Naina continue to battle with themselves for having to play the dirty games their bosses want. Finally it leads to such a point that Sid and Naina decide to let MK who himself is unhappy with the turn of things return back to his home… but where is MK's home?

And that is the twist in the tale which arrives at the very end of the film.
TLTM would have been a good film… when it was written. However, obviously something went horribly wrong in its execution because at the end of sitting through the entire film, I am yet to decipher what the director hoped to convey.
