She tells us: “I can’t give you details about my character and the movie because of my contract, but it was great experience working with director Shimit Amin under the Yash Raj banner. He is very particular about his film script and does justice to his characters.” She adds, “They had seen me dancing on Jhalak... and called me for auditions. I did five rounds of auditions and was finally selected to play one of the leads.”

How was it to work with Ranbir Kapoor? “Excellent, he was down-to-earth and didn’t throw tantrums like a star kid. I am fortunate to have worked with an actor like him. He was supportive and made my work easy. He sometimes played pranks on me which I took in the right spirit.”

Gauhar says working with Yash Raj was a dream come true. She says, “I thank Allah for giving me the opportunity to be part of Bollywood. My hard work has brought me closer to success and I will work harder.”

The film releases this December and we wish the actress all the luck.
