Quick info about the Auditions at Paanchvi Pass

As the auditions started the excitement in the people just hit the rooftop.

There were a number of very talented performers who have auditioned - people who can do mimicry, a lot of dancers, singers and general entertainers. A lot of people claimed that they actually wanted to meet SRK and didn't care about the 5 crores!

People came from all walks of life. There were people like doctors, actors, struggling artists, house wives, businessmen, army officers etc. you name it and they were there very eager to prove their metal.

There were people coming from all around the country, like villages, far off towns, metropolitan cities.

The mix of tension and excitement in the contestant was palpable. There were people who had also come in with their parents, wife and kids.

So, they were given a little practice, they were asked various GK questions before the auditions which acted as a good warm up for them.

There were people carrying their luggage for the auditions, books in their hands, revising all the facts that they had mugged up at the last moment, all set for the Fifth grade examination.

The number of people who came in on the day of audition was overwhelming, everyone raring to prove that they are smarter than a fifth grader.

There were people who started coming from a day before the audition dates.

Of lakhs of people who called in, only 1,200 were short listed for the auditions from around the country.

These 1,200 people were then sent to different cities for auditions respectively.
