Mahesh Bhatt slashes Tum Mile

After Bhatt saw the film earlier last week, he felt director Kunal Deshmukh put more emphasis on the disaster element on the movie rather than the love story between Emraan Hashmi and Soha Ali Khan. The film about a live in couple who part their ways only to meet on the day of the 26/11 deluge has been making quite the buzz with its top-notch special effects sequences. Mahesh didn’t want the disaster sequences to overshadow the love story which is the core aspect of the movie.
Bhatt conformed the news saying, ‘The film did not turn out the way Kunal had visualised it. The film is not about the disaster, but the love story. I just toned down the disaster scenes to make it more viewer-friendly.’ While
Tum Mile is a one of its kind disaster film, the Bhatt films are known for their trademark love stories and that was the reason behind Bhatt’s decision to take the film back on the editing table. He chopped close to 10 minutes of disaster sequences and Kunal who was first apprehensive about the entire situation commented on the issue saying, ‘I was dead against cutting some portions of the flood scenes because I thought that they really stood out. Bhattsaab wanted to play up the love angle and I understood his point of view when I saw the film after 10 minutes had been chopped off. I loved the flow.’
Insiders who have seen the film at a special preview for the cast have told us that the film is quite well-put. We can't wait to see what
Tum Mile will be like.
