The daughter of a merchant marine, Shenaz was born to a middle class Gujarati-speaking Parsi family. In 2001, Shenaz moved to New York City where she studied method acting at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute. While in New York, she also took a writing course at NYU. Her favourite hobbies include jet skiing, travel and photography.
Shenaz gained popularity as a VJ from a popular music channel where she hosted a music request show and went on to debut in a Bollywood film,
Ishq Vish with Shahid Kapoor and Amrita Rao. She is now making her come back on TV with TGILC4.
